Do you doubt it? Take a look at the pictures of our swimming kingdom and form your own opinion. The beach is not far away if you prefer a swim in the sea.
So much fun and refreshment in the water park of Camping Les Mimosas or on the beach during your holidays, you will almost forget that your programme of visits to places of interest in Hérault is full. From the campsite, it takes less than 15 minutes by car to reach Marseillan on the edge of the Thau pond, opposite Sète. This charming commune of barely 8,000 inhabitants is home to a beautiful heritage. The Saint-Jean-Baptiste church has a magnificent organ classified as a historical monument and an elegant Italian theatre, the Henri Maurin theatre.
The commune is also famous for its excellent wines (Domaine de Vassal) and its Noilly-Prat vermouth, shellfish farming and its seaside resort (Marseillan-Plage) which extends as far as Cap d'Agde.
The proximity of the pond and the seaside offers the possibility to practice several water sports. To find out about the activities on offer, contact the Marseillan sailing circle, the Les Glénans sailing school or the campsite reception.
